Mi Austino Gordito at 3 months

It happened quite suddenly...you grew!  It was one morning or evening I forget which, but we got a kick from just staring at you.  You suddenly had these adorable rolls on your arms and legs.  It made us laugh and so we have these pics to prove just how cute and cuddly you are!

So far, the first two months of your life were a little hectic.  Most of the time you were uncomfortable and unhappy and we learned that you were underfed and had acid reflex.  Then in April we had an emergency trip to St. Luke's Hospital because one morning you had spit up a lot of blood.  We stayed in the hospital for one long restless night, only to not have much news about the cause.  Austin you have stumped the docs, and for three weeks now the symptoms have completely disappeared...thank you Lord!  So at three months you are growing rapidly and you don't have the doctors concerned because you look healthy.  You have enjoyed conversation with people, sang with mom and dad, cheered little T on at baseball games, rolled from back to front, stood with support, slept through the entire night 3 times, nursed great and often along with much and continued spit ups, put things like little rattles and blankets in your mouth.
Things you love:  being held so that your back is aligned with our stomachs...you've become very curious.
baths
strolls
mom singing to you in the car
medicine
milk
the rooster that sits high up in our kitchen
Austin we love you very much.  I'll never forget when I was in our bedroom rocking you and dad came in and bent down and looked in my eyes and said, "I knew I would love him, but I didn't know I could love him this much."  Our love for you is amazing and abundant.  Dad says what he loves most about you is when he comes home from work and you greet him with the biggest smile.  I love our peaceful mornings that we spend smiling and talking.
So far you remind me of your daddy because you look like him and you also do the same thing that dad does with his foot (you keep it either flexed or curled)!
Next to your teddy bear for sizing.

Hey mom, I am bigger than the teddy right?
                                                    Yay!  I thought so!

Mariel's Bridal Shower

Mariel is my cousin from Ecuador and this July she will be married to Preston Lewis.  They will be getting married at one of the most beautiful places that I know, San Pablo.  These pictures are of Mariel's shower.  We are so happy for her and Preston!

Sorry, these aren't in the order that I wanted.  It was a beautiful day for a nice afternoon party.

Foreign Toy

During the weekends you may find me driving slowly following the bright colored signs that read, "yard sale".    This toy is what I purchased a couple of weekends ago for only 5 bucks!  These pics display Austin's hesitation, and then as the days go on he finally loves his new toy!

This feels weird.
                                           Please mom, pick me up!

Look everybody, I can make noise!
Oh, this is a fun toy!
                                           One happy baby!

My 30th Birthday Bash

My 30th birthday included a day of horseback riding and then a total surprise birthday party.  It threw me through a loop because it was a whole weekend earlier than my actual birthday and on that day I had FULL intentions to attend a friend's 30th surprise party.  Confusing right?  I even had fruit salad waiting in the car, Gabe completely had me off track.  Apparently I told Gabe that at some point in my life I wanted a real surprise party. Well I got one...full of family, friends, food and cake!

Cool morning
low key horse = comfortable rider :)
                                           Nice trails and
                                           beautiful scenery.
Thank you friends for coming to celebrate my 30th birthday!

                                           Yummy chocolate cake and
                                           delicious Guido's Pizza.

Our little family on my actual 30th birthday!

Father and Son Duet

Sometimes you are so quiet and focused and then there are those times when you love to babble.  We like to think that you are telling us great stories.  Here you are talking with your daddy and having a silly conversation.   Shucks I can't get the video to load.  Will try again...

Gabe's Graduation

On May 14th, Gabe graduated from Boise State University, and now he can officially call himself a Bronco Alum!  He sure had long hours of studying and preparing for presentations.  All of your hard work paid off!

                                          Way to go!
                                          The cheer squad
Both Grand PaPa and Popsy had to take you into the BSU shop and get you a hat...even if you have to grow into it!

Celebrating Gabe's success with family
Oh Austin with Great Grandma Liz
