A Day With the Snyder Family

Jer and Janna invited us over for lunch.  So we hung out at their house on their back patio.

Uncle Gabe is trying to get Rory to look at the camera.  He was busy playing with Uncle Gabe's mouth.
                                                    Uncle Jer holding you.
All smiles here with Auntie Janna.
In the afternoon your Uncle Jeremy and Daddy went to play tennis.  We stayed behind to stay cool.  You had fun playing with Rory's toys.  Then it was story time.  You boys enjoyed good books while Janna read.

Your mama with your cousin Rory.
Cousin Rory holding a ball.  He can say "ball"...what a big boy!
After tennis Uncle Jeremy talked your daddy into shaving his head.
                                                    Jer the barber.
Uncle Jer cracking jokes, we were laughing hard, but your daddy was skeptical at our giggles.
Getting all the fine edges so the cut would look professional.
All of a sudden, your daddy had to rip off the cover because he was sweating.  We all laughed as we couldn't believe the sweat bubbles.  Look closely.  Yucky daddy!
We decided cool off in Popsy's pool.
Uncle Jeremy, Auntie Janna, and Cousin Rory all in the 87 degree pool.
You enjoyed the pool for a few minutes.
Cousin Rory got a new hair due from his daddy.

You wanted out of the pool so that you could be held in Popsy's arms.
Your daddy wanting to race Uncle Jer.  Jer didn't have working goggles.

Then it was night night time for the babies, and we decided that fondue would be perfect.  So they guys went to the store to get the ingredients.  Your daddy made a delicious cheese fondue.

Thanks Jer and Janna for a fun day!

Sitting Up...Not Completely

You are a little over four months and you've discovered that laying flat isn't the best position when you're trying to absorb this new world of yours.

Excuse me, please gently grab my arms and pull me up?
                                                     Feeling pretty good.
                                                    A look of concentration.
These pics are after the hard work of sitting up even with propped pillows.

Twilight Criterium

Every year Boise holds a bike race that lasts all day called the Twilight Criterium.  Anyway, we decided to make a whole day of being downtown enjoying the festivities.

You are relaxing before our busy day.  This is your first BSU outfit that actually fits you.  This shirt was given to you by the Lindsay and Goldie (mom and dad attended the BSU game in 2010 in Washington, DC with them and their families)  We can't wait to take you there someday.  Maybe you will really enjoy history like your daddy.  Those shoes were given to you from Auntie Whitney!
You almost fit in this hat.  This hat was given to you by your Popsy and Grandpapa.  While we were waiting for your daddy to celebrate his education, they took you  and returned with this ginormous hat (it was huge at the time because you were only 2 months old, but now at 4 months you almost fit into it.
After doing lots of walking downtown, you became hungry and we found a nice spot in the park to take care of business.  Here you are happy and enjoying the outdoors.

Daddy can't wait to introduce you to the Broncos!  It's almost football time!
My precious boys!  When I look at this picture my heart wants to burst... I'm so overjoyed that I get the gigglies.  Two reasons:  I love your daddy so much and together we made you.  We love LOVE you!!!

After you ate, we became hungry and stopped at Mai Thai for amazing lunch specials and we tried a bunch of different plates for fun.  Your daddy's favorite was the tuna rolls and I thought the summer rolls were delicious.  You were very relaxed while we ate, you just looked at us and cooed.  Then we began walking and watching the bike race.  Your daddy was on a mission to get ice-cream from Ben and Jerry's and of course that sounded good to me.
We had a good time watching the bikers race, they reached average speeds of 30 mph!  Below are pics of how you really felt about the race.  Sometimes I giggle to myself because it's funny that while your sleeping I've taken you all over town and you don't even know it. :)

At the end of our day we wanted to stop by and see Grandpapa because your Grandmama is in Ecuador and we thought your grandpa would need to see you.  We couldn't get a hold of him so we ended up just coming home.  A few brief minutes later there was a knock at our door and it was your Grandpapa!  He loves to give you these massages that completely relax your body from head to toe.  You are a very stiff baby and Grandpapa found a way to work out those tense ligaments.  Here you are a drooling baby.
                                          Grandpapa just talking with you.
Now Grandpapa is listening while you do the chatting.  You love to talk, last night while daddy was putting you to sleep, he was whispering to you and you started whispering back.  It was preciously quiet!

Big Boy in a Bumbo

First off, I had to get a shot of your chubby feet.  These images are you figuring out this new chair.  You are really trying to sit up so Grandmama got you one of these.  I think you really like it and below is proof. (Thanks mom for this gift)
