Austin's First Vacation

All bags are packed (too packed that we had to unload a few pounds so we weren't charged extra) and we are on our way to Vancouver, Canada to visit your Great-Grandpa Arnie.

Planes, Trains, and Busses!  

We flew into Seattle, and then we took the train to Vancouver.  While there we took the bus everywhere.  

Your first time on a plane at 4 1/2 months.  

                                         
                                                     Here you are curious to know what is going on.  You weren't about to fall asleep.  You were wonderful on the plane ride, you enjoyed looking out the window with your daddy.

                                                     You got the lucky ticket.  With this ticket we are on our way to Canada.

We had our own little area on the train.  This is mom's new style of traveling.  

Here's the view from our train window.  We were spoiled by the beauty of the coastlines.  

Four hours later we arrived in Vancouver!  We are so happy to be here!

                                          We walked everywhere.  You loved being out and about.

                                                    Gams met us there and you were so happy to see her.

                                          Gams was teaching you how to make a "mouth drum".

                                          Your uncle Tyler and Merle on a bus.  Merle took us all over town and was a wonderful host.  We hope that she'll come and visit us in Boise.

Back to Seattle we go!  

We had a couple of nights in Seattle.  We decided to go to the beach one day.  

The walk started out like this...

 and then it became quite a hike.  We wheeled you in a stroller through the woods, down rock steps, hoping that the ocean would be near.

  And ta-dah...it was worth the sweat.

                                          Still at the game.  You almost lasted through the entire game, but finally we had to call it quits and get some sleep.

                                                     You don't look tired one bit!  This was a portable bed that you slept in while on vacation.
